Papa and Grandmother Wilks
Note: This picture is one of my [Barbara D. McLean Corner] favorite pictures of Papa (William Wesley Wilks) and Grandmother (Erie Catharine Wilks). It had the date of 1925 on the back of the picture and if I am not mistaken it was taken beside their half-dugout home. |

1905 William Wesley Wilks Age 20
Note: This 1" x 1 1/8" photograph was among the papers and pictures of Myrl Jean Wilks McLean when she broke up housekeeping in Houston. On the reverse of the photograph Erie, wife of Willie, had written "W. W. Wilks, Age 20." It is now in the possession of Myrl's daughter, Barbara D. McLean Corner in McKinney, Texas. |
