Note: This picture is one of my [Barbara D. McLean Corner] favorite pictures of Papa (William Wesley Wilks) and Grandmother (Erie Catharine Wilks). It had the date of 1925 on the back of the picture and if I am not mistaken it was taken beside their half-dugout home. |

Erie Catharine Taylor Wilks
Note: Grandmother Erie Catharine Taylor when she was young and beautiful. This is from the small oval-shaped picture she gave at least some of her children with a little braid of her almost-black hair around it (very popular in Victorian times). I (Doris Ross Johnston) had Mother's photo copied and Aunt Myrtle (Voy Wilks's wife) to hand tint it. I've always thought Myrl (her youngest daughter) looked so much like her. |

Papa and Grandmother Wilks
Note: This picture is one of my [Barbara D. McLean Corner] favorite pictures of Papa (William Wesley Wilks) and Grandmother (Erie Catharine Wilks). It had the date of 1925 on the back of the picture and if I am not mistaken it was taken beside their half-dugout home. |
