Certificate # 18752 is not proven to be the death certificate of Olive Elizabeth Smith McLean. The informant, Mr. Jim Manford, with whom Olive Elizabeth Smith had lived for 20 years, did not know the date of birth; her age was listed as 77 which would not be correct; and he did not know her father or mother's names or places of birth. It would seem that this has to be Olive Elizabeth McLean's death certificate since the informant was the son-in-law of Olive E.

The death certificate shows removal to "Stocton". The undertaker was J. M. Pierce of Luling, Texas, with the date of burial being June 10, 1920. "The Peirce Funeral Home, ... opened in June 1920. For many years, possibly until 1940, this was the only funeral home in Luling." Today it is called J.M.
