Note

A will had apparently been written and recorded in Madison Co, KY but those records have not been located. Christopher Sr. did leave a dower for his wife Sarah, 43 1/2 acres, for which she could use until her death and then it was to be divided among the living heirs. The children sold or traded their shares of the land (about 80 acres of the 123 1/2 acres) and their share of their mother's dower amongst themselves or other family members for 20 years. The youngest child Christopher Jr. ended up with most of the landed estate and sold it to three individuals about 1863.

Note

The following are Madison Co, KY court records transcribed as written: Madison Co, KY Deed Book 6 page 392 and 393.
