John Smith Hudnall b. 1763 d.1844 ~ Miscellaneous Wills, Volume 1 (DAR Library), p. 64 ~ "In the name of God, Amen; I, John Hudnall of the County of Bedford, being of sound mind and disposing memory do make this my last will and testament. As mine first set of children by another wife who was Patsy Newman, daughter of Nimrod Newman, drew the shares to which they were entitled on account of their mother and which never came into mine hands. I desire that the legacy herein after left to my present wife Frances Miles Hudnall who was the daughter of Samuel McGhee, deceased, shall after her decease be equally divided among the children of said wife Freances whom I had by her, . . .
