There was an Abraham Fry in Company D, 79th Pennsylvania Volunteers during the Civil War. In the same unit is a Henry Fry. Evidence is that Abraham and Henry had a close relationship so there is a high probability this is the two brothers. Abraham enlisted at Lancaster PA in 1861 and was wounded in the leg. After the Civil War, Abraham and Henry sailed around South America to the gold fields of California but did not stay. Abraham & Sarah went to Tennessee to visit Sarah's relatives and like what they saw. They went back for Henry's family, loaded their belongings on a barge and floated down the Monangahela to the Ohio, the Tennessee, the Cumberland Rivers to Gallatin.
